Hub & Spoke Community
A parallel food economy built by communities working together to restore reliable local food access.

Choose a welcome item below to mark your participation in the Hub & Spoke Community:
The modern food system is highly centralized and increasingly fragile. When disruptions occur, local access to real food is often the first thing lost. This membership exists to help build a parallel food economy—one where communities are fed first by nearby farms and processors, not dependent on distant, centralized supply chains. It is a collective response to a system that no longer prioritizes local resilience. This is not about perks or convenience. It is about protecting local food access and rebuilding the foundations that make it possible.
A conversation about rebuilding local food systems
If this vision resonates, membership is how you participate.
Membership is how this parallel food economy is built.
Your participation supports a decentralized network working together to restore local food infrastructure— farms, butcheries, grain mills, creameries, and processors that serve their regions first.
Circular and regenerative farming are central to how food is responsibly produced within this network, but the Hub & Spoke model is not limited to a single method or farm. We welcome organic and like-minded producers who share the goal of strengthening local food systems.
Rather than individuals acting alone, this model depends on people coming together to build something for the common good—creating stability for producers and reliable access for local customers.
Membership includes practical access benefits
- 5% off always on Acres of Asher & partner farm products
- One-time 15% member welcome discount
- 3% off for each successful referral (because strong local networks grow through people)
- Early and prioritized access to special sales, limited products, and partner farms
Who this Membership is for
This membership is for you if:
- You are concerned about the stability of the current food supply system
- You want reliable access to locally sourced, nutrient-dense food
- You believe communities should be fed by nearby farms and processors
- You want to help build shared infrastructure—not just shop for products
Who this Membership may not be for
This membership may not be for you if:
- You are only looking for the lowest possible price
- You expect unlimited availability year-round
- You prioritize maximum convenience over local resilience
- You are not concerned with how food systems are structured
By becoming a member, you are helping establish a parallel food economy rooted in cooperation, shared responsibility, and local resilience. Together, we are rebuilding food access from the ground up—designed to endure disruption rather than depend on fragile centralized supply chains.

A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) typically supports a single farm’s ability to grow and provide for its own customer base. They are great! A co-op is often a farmer-owned and controlled organization where farmers pool resources to achieve common goals, such as improving market access, reducing costs, and increasing bargaining power.
Acres of Asher Nest Egg Membership is different—we’re focusing on building memberships to drive the creation of a farm network that collaborates to meet the needs of the local community, while still staying rooted in regenerative practices.
